Vein Visualization Leader Launches Short-Term Rental Program to Support Coronavirus Response
AccuVein Inc. https://www.accuvein.com, the global leader in vein visualization, today unveiled a short-term device rental program designed to support temporary, large scale access to vein illumination to help U.S. hospitals as they respond to the Coronavirus pandemic. This program was developed from customer feedback regarding their need to expand ICU and critical care beds during this outbreak.
Furthermore, to help with enhanced infection control initiatives, AccuVein is offering complimentary single-use Protective Covers, which slip over the AccuVein device and stand, providing an equipment barrier that can be an effective enhancement to equipment cleaning processes.
“AccuVein is acutely aware of the burden being placed on hospitals during this unprecedented pandemic,” said Ron Goldman, AccuVein CEO. “We have the utmost appreciation for all that they’re doing to restore patient health and save lives. We’ll continue to listen to our hospital customers for any other ways that we can assist them.”
AccuVein provides a map of the patient’s vasculature on the skin’s surface, adding visual location to the clinician’s skill set. The AccuVein device has been shown to improve patient outcomes, reduce pain and procedure time while increasing catheter dwell time. Vein visualization has been included in the Infusion Nurses Society’s Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice and AccuVein is now the standard of care in many facilities around the world.
